Native Flowers

At one of the many markets I sell my greeting cards and photography at, I was approached to make up some large native flower prints. He wanted them 1mx1m and to represent native flowers that could be found locally. So I want for a bushwalk with my sketchpad and came back with these.

He wanted four prints so there was one more flower I had to get and I choice the Tufted Blue Lily. Here are the four finished prints my client decided on. I have to say it was one of the best weeks working on these prints and an amazingly easy going client.

I Love Lily! Discovering a hidden talent

I love lilies! I do! This was the first flower I really sketched, I had no idea I was quite so good if I do say so myself!

Humming Birds

After watching 'The Life of Birds' David Attenborough, I wanted to draw some Humming Birds. Somewhere in drawing I got carried away and made a spectacular tale which i'm pretty sure they don't have!

Floret Buds

This is my latest abstract flower piece, its more rose bud inspired. As you can see I liked the shape of it so much, its my new blog design! I also started exploring with textured or layered colours for my backgrounds.

Butterfly, Cherry Blossoms

Here is a fairly early piece of digital work I produced, nice and cute.

On my first business card designs I did was for my friend who runs "Otway Blooms", she wanted a Japanese feel with cherry blossoms. Here I took my original cherry blossoms and made them into a more fun greeting card design.

Pencil

Pencil is a folio of my drawings. Here you will find nature-inspired art and abstracts. Many of these designs are available in prints, as greeting cards, or can be used for uniquely designed wedding invitations or business cards.

What began as designs for business cards and wedding invitations has extended to greeting cards and art prints. Enjoy!
